Well, that link effectively sums up the whole point of the article. If your headline can’t attract attention, you are doomed. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you nurse thoughts of getting attention for your sales copy, articles, or whatever else that you write, get your act together.

Write headlines that pull readers in by the collar. That is the only way to get attention.

Being an aggressive marketer is not an easy thing. Wes repeats this marketing pep talk: “If you don’t piss some­one off by noon you’re not mar­ket­ing very well.”
